12th Street Kitchen is under new management (was Kate’s Cookabilities and Gina’s Kitchen.) It is located at 12th and Lamar, next to Word of Mouth Catering. The contact person is Brian Kudler of Chomp Cookies. His e-mail address is bkudler@chompcookies.com. His phone number is 512-350-6138.

We’ve been there since we started in September of 06 and really like the space. It is a bit different under the new management, but it is in a very central location.

One topic of conversation may be getting together on a new space. For example, we saw a space in Round Rock for $1,000 a month, which is a bit much for us, alone, at this point. I would basically be manufacturing space since the storefront presence wasn’t so great. Anyway, places do exist but there’s always a lot more to it…equipment, insurance, etc…but maybe we can come up with something.

Thanks! Love the site and we’re happy to be a part of it. Hope to see everyone in June.

Hi All,
We are in the process of building a commercial kitchen on E.12th Street about 1 mile east of I-35. The Kitchen Space is going to be ready by the end of Summer 07 and this is the perfect forum for people in the industry to learn about us. Please contact me at 512 241 1544 or via e-mail if you are interested in talking about renting hours from us. We will be offering hourly, weekly, and monthly rentals as well as both cold and dry goods storage space.

Brian Owens - September 25, 2009

Hi, my name is Brian Owens. My wife and I are starting a shaved ice and frozen treats concession trailer this spring and will need a location to mix our flavors. We would be very interested in talking to you about hourly and or weekly rental prices. You can e-mail me at sundogonthego@att.net or at briansowens@att.net.

Thanks,
Brian

Mary Martin - November 22, 2011

Hi,
I am interested in using your kitchen space because I am starting my own catering service and I need a place that will pass all health regulations and safety issues. Please e-mail me at topchef2009@gmail.com. Thank you for your response and I am looking forward to meeting you.
Mary

6. Kitchen_lunatic - January 20, 2008

Great to see more kitchen space available. Only minus is your location. Early 2008 has been rough in east austin where your are located Soraiaya. I’ve read about 3 “bad” robberies in your same block ….. it keeps me out of where you are. When you move let us know.

7. jen-2008 - January 24, 2008

in a few months we are opening a 5000 sqf space fully equipped for rental. we will have 8 independent kitchens and we can provide modular space. it will be located in the northwest region in austin – very convenient to all major areas caterers serve – stay tunned for more details. it is going to be huge.

Aparna - September 29, 2009

Jen , Have you guys gone through with opening this space. If so can you give me some info on it.

Helenmarie - October 5, 2009

Please send me the information on your kitchen space… name of business, location, phone # etc. Do you have a website with info?

Georgy Pancharian - October 19, 2009

My husband and I are currently looking for kitchen space to make soups to sell at a farmers market… do you have more information regarding the kitchen space you have available?

Chris Frazier - March 21, 2010

Hi Jen,

Are you still working on the commercial kitchen in a more North Austin Location? Looking for reasonably priced location that caters to Bakers. Will be doing hand desserts. If so, please send me more info. Thanks!

Steve M - February 11, 2011

I am planning to build a commercial kitchen space, turn key, by the end of this year (2011) near the corner of McNeil and FM 172 in Round Rock. If you know of any interested parties please send them my way!

Linda - March 12, 2011

I am looking for kitchen space in North Austin. Is the project in Round Rock completed?

Sophie Parrott - February 14, 2012

Hi Chris,
Did anyone get back to you? I am trying to find a commercial kitchen in NW Austin for baking… Currently I am using a central kitchen, but need one in NW. Any ideas?
Thanks

8. Soraiya - January 25, 2008

Just to let everyone know, our kitchen location in East Austin is great! We have been open for 3 months now and have owned the building for 7 months. As we went through construction I was here at nighttime quite often, many times by myself (without my husband) just to look things over. I have never had a single moment of doubt about our location. Being 2 miles from downtown has been very convenient. Additionally, we have had people in here at all hours of the night cooking and no one has had any issues. We hope that you all will trust us, we can recommend other customers to chat with about how they feel about the area. We wouldn’t have opened in a spot that we were worried about. Kitchen_lunatic, please come by for a personal tour and see our facility for yourself before scaring people away from such a wonderful space.

9. Melissa - January 26, 2008

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have been using the kitchen space since Day 1 and haven’t had a single problem. East Austin may have a stigma, but I have never been a bit worried about my safety coming and going from the kitchen. I use the kitchen during the day and sometimes till at least 9 pm without trouble. The space is secured by an electronic key code and stays locked 24/7. I used to use Gina’s kitchen on 12th and Lamar till midnight sometimes and was constantly worried about my safety there!! That huge picture window lets everyone walking by outside (mainly homeless people) see that I am in there by myself. I was always afraid some crazy person would come by and throw a brick or something through the window. Once some guy did try to open the door, but luckily it was locked and he gave up after a few tries! As to The Kitchen Space, I cannot pass up a BRAND NEW commercial kitchen that offers plenty of dry storage, WALK IN REFRIGERATION & FREEZER space, reasonable rates and such great people running the place. I also love the people I have met that are also using the kitchen. We have developed quite a great networking place for small food businesses! Bottom line: The Kitchen Space is a safe and awesome asset to ALL of Austin small food businesses!

10. Vio - January 26, 2008

I am usually in The Kitchen Space during the morning on weekends, and have not had any problems what so ever. The building is very secure, and have been enjoying my time there. I also visited the Kitchen at night on a Tuesday, and had no reservations on being there. On the contrary, a class was being held at the Demostration Kitchen and it was packed! People seemed very confortable. I admit I had concerns for what I had heard about the area, but I have been there few days all at different times, and have been happy, so far.

11. Lyndie - January 26, 2008

I have been there since they opened & have never had any problems. I am a very small woman & am, more often than not, there after dark & have never been nervous about the location. Soraiya & Azim are two of the nicest people I have ever met & have taken great care to make sure the facility is extremely safe inside & outside. It is a real pleasure & priviledge to be able to cook in their facility.

12. Spoon & Co - January 26, 2008

The Kitchen Space is wonderful! We have been using the East Austin location since it opened and none of us have ever felt unsafe coming or going at any time of the day or night! The location is great for it’s proximity to downtown and the service that Soraiya and Azim are providing is invaluable to not only our small business but all entrepreneurial foodies!

13. Naturally Tasty - January 26, 2008

I’ve spent time at the Kitchen Space at all hours of the night and day, occasionally stopping in quite late (midnight, 1am) after events to drop off extra food. I have never felt terribly unsafe in the Kitchen Space and feel that despite the negative stigma of East Austin, the Kitchen Space and its patrons are not at any great risk. The location is amazingly close to downtown – I have never spent a second in traffic going to or from client locations all points west. Huge thanks to Azim and Soraiya for providing local food producer businesses in Austin such a great place to work!

14. shelly - January 26, 2008

I run my business solo and have never once felt unsafe using the Kitchen Space. The doors are all secured by an electronic key code, there is parking right up to the doors and no windows for people to ever see you working alone. Not to mention, Soraiya and Azim want it to be an enjoyable space for all their tenants, so if anyone ever had an idea/suggestion/issue, they’d be sure to listen.

15. Bill B-KEM Managment - January 26, 2008

The Kitchen Space is probably one of the best values in town as a small business incubatro. Soraiya and Azim work hard to make the space clean, safe and easily accessible for their clients. As far as safety, I am in there in the evenings and also drop off food for storage at times like 3am, 4am and later. I feel very secure and safe with the lighting and security of the access entry. It is the investment of entrepreneurs like Soraiya and Azim that will change the complection of East Austin. Well done and thank you for being there so I can be where I am.

16. Sherry Jones - January 29, 2008

From Bitesize Gourmet
Dear All,
I’ve been using The Kitchen Space since the opening day with no problems at all or any worries about security! I did have my reservations at first about the location, but the area has changed over the years and is a wonderful asset to Austin. Soraiya and Azim have done a wonderful job to make us all feel comfortable and at Home! I’ll continue to use the kitchen.

17. Roberto San Miguel - January 29, 2008

San Miguel Seafood couldn’t possibly exist without The Kitchen Space – a marvelous, farsighted godsend for small business operations like mine. I work there on Friday evenings as late as 9 p.m. and have nothing but good, safe experiences there. ANYWHERE in Austin can be dangerous yet the stigma of East Austin overshadows many of the good folks that live and do business there. I also happen to live in Hyde Park where we’ve had a recent spike in crime – and it’s in a majority white, affluent area. While the city of Austin is still in the planning stages for developing East 12th street – Azim and Soraiya are the visionaries with the “bullocks” to stake out a space where the future is headed.

18. Johnson83 - February 15, 2008

Did everyone see in the news what happened 2 blocks away from the Kitchen Space yesterday? It is still a dangerous area – agree with some of the comments above. Understand you want to minimize cost for all of us, caterers, but security comes first for my business and employees.

19. Brenda - February 15, 2008

You talking about this one J?

http://www.news8austin.com/content/your_news/default.asp?ArID=200444

I agree – drugs and prostitution don’t go with food.

20. Trish Sierer - February 15, 2008

I didn’t see this on the news and I couldn’t find anything about it online. However, I don’t believe we can live in fear all the time. No matter where you are at night in Austin, you should always be aware of your surroundings. Use your instincts and be safe, right? There has always been crime here.

Besides, how will things in East Austin ever be safe if businesses flee to safer, whiter parts of town? What kind of message does that send? Personally, and I was born in Austin and have lived here for 43 years, I think East Austin is undergoing a rough transition period. I think there is a lot of controversy because the poor fear they are being pushed out by people who want to want into the area because of high rent in other parts of the city. To me, these crimes are a direct result/retaliation of this growth pain and eventually everyone will figure out how to exist together peacefully. We just need to hang in there, yet be aware and alert, until things settle down.

21. Brian Kudler - February 22, 2008

Hey Trish,
I wanted you to commend you on being straight forward and being right to the point.

Hey we all live in Austin, and East of 35 is still in Austin :)
Be Good to yourselves and Each Other!!

22. Jam Sanitchat - February 25, 2008

Hi,

I am looking to build a commercial kitchen and was wondering if anybody know a good contractor that would do a fine job? We are opening a grocery store/deli/cooking school and we might possibly be renting kitchen at off hours after 9 pm.

thanks for any suggestions
Jam

23. Christine - February 27, 2008

East Austin definitely has a stigma, but I would urge people to keep an open mind and not shun The Kitchen Space or any other East Austin businesses for the location until you’ve had the opportunity to experience what those businesses have to offer. I am a single woman and I live in East Austin by myself and I have to say that some of the people in East Austin will look out for their neighbors more than any other neighborhood I’ve ever lived in! I think if you are street smart and alert, you rarely get into problems, which is true for any area.

It is true that 12th and Chicon is still a little sketchy and I wouldn’t hang out there, but the Kitchen Space is definitely in a perfect, convenient location for those of us who cherish central Austin and want to avoid freeways!

33. Jesse Bloom - July 10, 2008

I currently have a fully licensed kitchen space at Manchaca and Stassney and we are entertaining adding another food person or two. Our ideal renter would need the space regularly on off hours (in the evenings, prefferably, and during the week), and would need limited refrigeration space… but we have some dry storage space that could be used. We have two electric rockin convection ovens and an outdoor grilling space for gas grilling. It is not the prettiest space, but it works for us. Call me directly if you are interested, Jesse at Ecstatic Cuisine 512-577-0888

Dawn - October 26, 2009

Ecstatic Cuisine has moved and no longer offers Commercial Kitchen space.

34. Erin - July 17, 2008

I will be setting up a vending business in the following months when I move back to Austin. I’m wondering which commercial kitchen space is available as a mobile vending commissary?

35. sarah g. coleman - July 19, 2008

thank you for those inspiring messages. i am in the process of opening a 3 station commercial kitchen in moblie , alabama. the building is already in process. i will contact the board of health to satisfy their concerns. i have not settled on a price yet. what do you think is acceptable in this area. mobile, ala.
please answew me back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

36. surfware - August 2, 2008

Very good site. Thanks!

37. Azim & Soraiya - August 5, 2008

Johnson83 & Brenda,

It’s disappointing to us that you would make judgments about our kitchen without actually having seen it. We have done the utmost to ensure the safety of our customers – a well-lit parking lot, an electronic access system and 24×7 video surveillance. On our corner is another business and a number of professional couples. I don’t think it’s really fair to classify us unsafe just because we are in the vicinity of 12th & Chicon.

As you can tell from the comments above, our customers are happy with the facility. We have not had any incidents – and many of our customers are there late at night / early in the morning.

Johnson83 & Brenda (and anyone who has concerns about the area) – give us a call on 512 535 5137 and we would be happy to show you our facility, show you the security measures that we have taken, show you the neighborhood that we are in and even introduce you to our neighbors. Maybe then you’ll be able to come back to this board and post a message based upon your own observations rather than making assumptions.

38. Sam - August 24, 2008

All,

As Warren Zevon said “Life’ll KIll Ya”. Although concerns for safety, etc, are important, they certainly should not be limited to the east side. To further expand on Zevon’s reflections:

“Some get the awful, awful diseases
Some get the knife, some get the gun
Some get to die in their sleep
At the age of a hundred and one”

Lighten up.

Azim & Soraiya, these comments have not deterred me one bit from considering your kitchen for my business. and I doubt they will any reasonable person.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Sampaw

39. Quincy Adams Erickson - October 29, 2008

Hi all, This is Quincy from Fete Accompli in the kitchen at 917 West 12th Street. We are the old Gina’s kitchen. Lots of people call us about commercial kitchen space for lease and we are no longer able to do that. I am so sorry, but we are so tightly packed for space that we could not possibly fit anyone in. Retail is opening in a month or so. When folks call or stop in we recommend the kitchen space. I have also recommended Just Add Chef. Does anyone know about that space? Does it still exist? Please let us know if you have space to rent as alot of people approach us and we like to let them know where else they might search out a space. Take care, Quincy My e mail is quincy@feteaustin.com and our office number is 478-3383.

40. Herb Levy - Just Add Chef - November 3, 2008

Just Add Chef is alive and kickin’! We have just relocated to the old GoGo Gourmet location at 3506 N IH35. Please do not hesitate to contact us at 512-708-1125 or herb@justaddchef.com to inquire about shared kitchen space and/or commissary space for your mobile vending unit.

Hi All,

Thai Fresh opened 3 months ago and we are doing great. We are renting out kitchen space to those in need. We are small with one 6 burner with an oven, a fryer, 8′ prep table, small refrigeration space, not quite enough to leave a lot of stuff in but we might be able to work it out, some dry storage and a dishwasher. Looking to rent out off hours from 9 pm – 9 am and Mondays all day. Rent is $15 an hour (as we are small). Contact me for more info 494 6436.

43. Lisa A - November 12, 2008

I’m also interested in the Jen’s kitchen in NW Austin. Any word on this?

Hi I am looking for some commissary space in north austin, or williamson county, can anyone help me out?? Thank you

49. Alex - March 30, 2009

I only need 2 cubic ft of cold storage and about the same in dry, no prep room needed

50. Greg - April 27, 2009

Howdy folks. I’m looking for a full time kitchen that has an area where I can park a (trailer style) smoker used to smoke meat. From what I understand the smoker needs to be on a solid surface and covered. Some type of carport or patio area would probably work well. I don’t need to be in the kitchen space on a daily basis nor do I need much access to stoves/ovens. I do need full time refrigerated presence for 100-200 pounds of meat.

51. Michelle Cohen - May 1, 2009

I sent out to your request to our members and have some responses for you. I will email you.

52. Rebecca Benniston - May 2, 2009

any one know of food vending carts that can keep the food warm to the 135 degrees need. I hear that food has to be kept to this level. I am looking to do a soup business so it would need to be kept warm I thought I could use crock pots on the delivery cart but I dont thinkthis will meet the heat level now. Any advice?

53. Carolyn Barrows - May 21, 2009

Hi everyone. I am looking for the possibility of using commerciall kitchen space in west or southwest Austin. I have small space needs and am willing to use on any off hours.

54. RICA - May 22, 2009

Does anyone know of any spaces in the south, west/westlake, or southwest areas of Austin? I am preparing to rent kitchen space in the very near future. I will need both storage and the ability to receive shipments at the location.

55. Liz - May 26, 2009

Hi, I am looking for space to rent in Central, East or South Austin, don’t need too much space but would need freezer space, convection oven, a lockable storage cage, and room for pastry. If anyone has ideas on spaces or restaurants looking to rent out a little space, please let me know. Thank you.

56. irma - July 2, 2009

I am interested in commercial kitchen space in North Austin or just north of Austin. I would do the majority of my baking after hours, as I have a “regular” job.
I have visited The Kitchen Space and although reserved about the location prior to arrival, found it quite nice. The area is well lit and security on the doors….well, I couldn’t get in until I knocked. The trip from my place to TKS is the only drawback. I am interested in something closer to me!
Anyone have ideas?

I wanted to remind everyone that a 5,000 commercial kitchen space is available in Manor/Northeast Austin. The owner will allow several people to come in as long as everyone signs a lease. The rent is $2,500 (50 cents a square foot) so if 4 companies would share, each would pay $625. The space could be devided all kinds of ways. Let me know if interested, I will put you in a list… Marta Guzman (512)799-4331.

72. jeff jackson - December 9, 2009

Hi Everybody,

I’m getting ready to open a commercial kitchen space for my business to use primarily from mid afternoon to 11 or 12 at night. There will be a convection oven, a 6 burner range (with another oven) a stock pot boiler and maybe a charbroiler under the vent hood. There will also be alot of walkin cooler space as I’m getting a 12×16 footer and only need about half of it.
There’s also plenty of table space (several 8 foot SS tables) and its not too cramped (1,250 square feet).
There is also a 800 sq/ft room that I have not built out yet with an existing vent hood (although it does need some serious rehabbing to get it up to code).
The space is located east-central by 183 and Montopolis, about 7 minutes from downtown going down 7th St. in one direction and 7 minutes to the airport going down 183 in the other direction.

Right now I’m not sure if I’m going to take on renters for the mornings/daytime or what I’m going to do with the empty 800 sq/ft space. I’m considering getting a regular daytime renter for the larger space and building out the 800 sq/ft space for an hourly caterer’s rental, or letting a longer term tenant build it out themselves in exchange for cheaper rent and a longer term lease.

Anybody out there have any thoughts or would like to share what sort of facilities they need or would like to see happen? I’m still brainstorming ideas and trying to feel out what my options are (I am also considering just trying to grow into the space on my own). Right now the plumbing and electrical is roughed in and I’m waiting on the vent hood and walkin installations, I’m thinking I’ll be opening my doors by late January. I’d love to hear y’alls thoughts and be in touch with people that might be interested.

Thanks!

Jeff

hi jeff,

my name is marc levine and i just opened a late night food trailer downtown. my partner and i are looking into the future and foresee us needing more space, especially for south by southwest. i am not sure if you have already figured out which route you were heading but we are interested in talking more with you and maybe getting a little more info based on what you have going on, possibly even check out the facilities. we dont really require too much space, mainly looking for a place to do dishes, decent amount of cooler space, and maybe a deep fryer or 2, in addition to prep areas, etc. feel free to call me whenever @ 512 554 7710. hopefully we can figure something out or maybe you can point me in the right direction. thanks again and i look forward to hearing from you.

Planning on starting a new vender business. Looking for a commisary to store & clean equipment. Prefer anything north of austin. I currently live in georgetown. Don’t need much space, a roomy closet is good enough. LOL. Thank you in advance.

76. Paloma - February 15, 2010

Hi. I’m planning on making an offer on a finished bakery kitchen – I just need to add equipment. Before I sign on the lease, I’d like to know if there is anyone out there who would like to sublet for at least a year. Bakery businesses only, please. The place is large, about 1500 sq.ft and is located north central (Burnet Rd/Rosedale area)
I’ll be providing the equipment – convection oven, mixers, refrigeration, etc. If you need a proofer, you’ll need to bring your own. This would be for a fulltime lease and you’ll need a Health Dept Cert and liability insurance. This is will not be a retail space.
If you are interested, please contact Paloma Efron at 419.1582 or paloma@cocopalomadesserts.com.

Hello everyone – I just came across this site and it is great! I wanted to post that I am opening a licensed commercial kitchen in Round Rock in about 3 or 4 months. I have my own catering business and I am hoping to share my kitchen with other cooks and bakers. The space is small, but will be well organized and VERY clean. We hoping to have a full time baker who wants to work a graveyard shift, a wedding cake maker and other chefs and bakers who would want to rent on a hourly, weekly or monthly basis. Location is beautiful, safe and very clean – you would be proud to arrange tastings with clients or teach classes in our kitchen. Please contact me if you are interested!

We have some final negotiations that need to be ironed out and we should be on our way by September (but don’t hold me to that – you know how these things can go). Right now our priority is to find caterers and bakers (esp those wanting to work a 2nd and 3rd shift) who want to use the kitchen on a regular basis, but we will consider those needing the kitchen on a per-job basis or commissary space (including refrigeration and freezer space). I will keep y’all updated!

Hi there,

I own a commercial kitchen and am interested in renting out and un-built out part of the space, but don’t have the money to complete renovations for it, so I’m offering a very good, cheap way to get into a commercial kitchen by helping me with the build-out cost in partial exchange for rent. This would be a very good opportunity for a group of 4-8 people all interested in getting commercial kitchen space within the next couple of months.
For more details please send me an email at jeffmjack@gmail.com :)
Thanks!

Hello all! We are very close to opening our kitchen in Round Rock – construction is underway and I am conducing tours for those who might be interested. Because of our limited storage space, we are not able to do strictly commissary (storage), but we most are really interested in have caterers and bakers who will be needing the kitchen for cooking on a regular basis. We will have convection ovens, a professional mixer, a proofing oven, refrigeration, dry food storage, a professional dishwasher and more! I think I have gotten back with everyone who has posted asking for information, but if I haven’t – I apologize! Please email me at wombatmom@sbcglobal.net ask any questions or to arrange a tour.

I am building a commisary kitchen for hourly rental in South Austin. I need input from potential clients as to there needs and desires. The space is 2250 sq.ft. with 3 kitchen spaces and to sculleries. walkin freezer and refrigeration. dry storage and locking cabinets. Brandie - December 13, 2010

I wouldn’t count on it! We discussed date, time, price, and everything was agreed on. She never showed up when it came down to it. Way to let someone down Liz!!! The number she gave me was “disconnected” and she never returned my emails after that point. I ended up baking ALL DAY in my small kitchen and still didn’t get everything done.

Liz - December 13, 2010

Brandie – as I responded in my email to you, I sincerely apologize and I absolutely screwed up, including mistyping my cell phone number. You are right – we had everything arranged and I missed it. I sincerely apologize about the issues that it caused you and don’t blame you for being upset. Please let me know if I can do anything to make it up to you.

125. Valerie - January 2, 2011

Anyone with any ideas about commercial kitchens for rent in the San Antonio area. We have a small farm -working on organic certification near Canyon Lake but actually live in San Antonio. Can’t find a commercial and don’t really want to get in to the expense of building one ourselves since we are probably looking at cooking one night a week or so.
I know this is an Austin area blog but we really need stuff in San Antonio as well and wondered if anyone in the Austin area had connections in SA.

Michelle Solis - April 22, 2011

Hi Valerie, coming soon in San Antonio, http://www.bakebroilbrew.com . We plan to be open June 1st. Check out our website and fill out our contact form to get more info. You can also find us on facebook and twitter, to keep up with our status and events.

I am presently creating some commercial kitchen/commissary kitchen space in the Round Rock area, actually two places. One could be ready as quickly as mid March and the other is in the process of being built and can be built to spec if someone is interested. Also great for any company looking to expand and needs more room.

Mel - February 15, 2011

Steve,

we have kitchen space available. It’s 2600 dollars a month for 24 hour usage. If you would like to know more or come by and look at it send me an email to mel@melsmealsaustin.com

Thanks

Hey Steve, we’re definitely interested. We live in Round Rock so this would be an excellent area for our commissary use. We may have limited needs as we are an unrestricted mobile vendor still in the process of permitting. However would love to know more about your space and location. Please email me at caycoffee@hotmail.com.
Thanks!

David - February 24, 2011

Steve,

Is your out-look for having a commissary available mid-march still accurate? I have a vendor business & will need a commissary around that time, mid-march.

Due to such high demand for commercial kitchen rental in Austin, over the next 6 months I will be expanding my existing kitchen space to include 2 dedicated, 24 hr, full service kitchens. The space will be about 2000 sqft located in North Central Austin on Koenig Lane.

I am in the design stages and would like to know what equipment and amenities you would like to see in a rental kitchen. Tilt braiser? Steam kettle? Chocolate room? Not saying that everything will be there but every idea will be considered.

If you have a free minute, let me know your thoughts and needs. As we develop a construction time line I will start posting notices.

Thanks,
Joel Haro, LovePuppies Brownies

Joel Haro - June 24, 2011

Construction costs put us over budget by $25,000. We couldn’t downsize further without compromising the space. We are still looking for additional investors to complete the project.

Joel Haro - March 18, 2012

Construction is finally underway. Completion is scheduled for May/June. 2 full kitchens, 2000 sqft, Koenig Lane. Need rentors. Send me an email if interested. I’ll post updates every few weeks.

Joel Haro!

I’d love to hear more about your commercial kitchen. My suggestion ;-> I’d love to see one that’s more baking oriented with lots of ovens, convection or not. I think plenty of storage space would be a huge help as well. The other thing I’d love to see would be a large industrial mixer.

Keep us posted on your progress!

I am putting out feelers for what kind of interest there is in a commercial kitchen in Round Rock that could accomodate bakers, caterers and food truck owners who need storage. The space we are planning will have separate areas for baker and catering and will make it possible for both sides to be used at the same time without getting in one anothers way. Would love overnight bakers and monthly tenants but willing to accept those on an hourly basis as well. email me at delorescalla@hotmail.com
